The WinTechSeries Awards highlight achievements from all those working in the sector, from rising stars to experienced project teams. Take a look at the awards categories below.
The WinTechSeries Achievement Award
We are excited to introduce this unique award for a distinguished champion of gender diversity initiatives within the tech industry. The individual, company or group must demonstrate evidence of driving significant changes within their organisation or industry. This should encompass multiple initiatives with a singular goal.
Mentor of the Year
This award recognises an individual who has spent considerable time fostering young talent, either part of their own organization or through educational institutions. Examples should be demonstrated of volunteering time and energy in support of the industry.
Leader of the Year
This award recognises an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, and has created an inclusive, motivated and positive workforce that aims for excellence and success within the organisation.
Individuals considered for this award (but are not limited to) would include: C-Levels, Directors, Managers, Team Leads etc.
Tech Start-Up of the Year
This award recognises a tech- start-up that has showcased standout innovation and diversity within their products, services and teams from the past 5 years. Examples of evidence must be shown to demonstrate this.
Best Initiative to Increase Diversity
This award recognises an initiative that has actively demonstrated evidence of increasing gender diversity within the tech industry. This might include examples of marketing campaigns, specific programmes, mentoring schemes, diversity targets and external promotion.
This award recognises an individual who is in the first 5 years of their career and has shown outstanding contribution within their organisation. Examples could include successful projects, demonstrable team collaboration, and positive contribution towards ideas.
Most Influential UK Network
This award recognises a non-profit organisation/community that has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to increasing gender diversity in the tech industry. Must demonstrate evidence or case studies of network growth and initiatives executed to support this.
Engineering Project Team of the Year
This award recognises a successful engineering group project that has shown an effective combination of technical and non-technical collaboration. This might include a display of project management skills, the impact on business results, and proof of learning and development within the team.
Employer of the Year
This award recognises organisations that have engineered an employee strategy that best attracts, retains and develops talent. Judges will look for evidence of supportive environments, high staff satisfaction levels, retention percentages year on year and investment in people, initiatives and commercial performance.
Entrepreneur of the Year
This award celebrates the achievements of any first business founder that has been trading for 24 months or less on the 25th June 2019. The individual must demonstrate an understanding of the key challenges, customers and competitive landscape within the field they work in. They must demonstrate commercial acumen, vision, ambition and entrepreneurial aptitude to build a successful enterprise.
